NATSAP Research and Evaluation Network

The Board of Directors of the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Program's (NATSAP) has appointed a Standing Research Committee and hired a part time Research Coordinator, Dr. Michael Gass and one of his PhD students Michael Young of the University of New Hampshire to develop and manage a data collection network designed to allow for maximum participation by NATSAP member programs. The hope is to create a deidentified aggregate database. The plan is for the majority of the network's data gathering to be conducted through a web-based application provided by www.carepaths.com.

The initial research goal is to examine and validate the outcome effectiveness of  NATSAP programs. Such data will be immediately useful in countering arguments that our programs have not established effectiveness, and will begin to develop the evidence base for our work that is increasingly important and expected in all educational and behavioral health environments.
