Evangel House ® Christian Academy is a parent-choice therapeutic boarding school providing services for girls grades 6-12 The academy is unique in that it takes a holistic approach integrating conservative Christian values and professional clinical services. The school is ideal for teens diagnosed with mild to moderate mood disorders, behavior problems, academic or family difficulties, or substance abuse.
While a multitude of problems are addressed within the school structure, the goal of Evangel House ® Academy is to move a troubled teen beyond mere symptom relief. The goal is Spiritual, Therapeutic, Academic, Social, and Physical maturity SM. Each of these aspects is measured through our trademark five-stage process that provides goals, benchmarks, and maturity indicators. Students are encouraged through the five-stage maturity process by Christian professionals, licensed therapists, licensed teachers, and credentialed ministers. The school includes a variety of enrichment and outdoor adventure activities; individual, family and group therapy; a positive peer culture with social accountability; a high level of parent involvement; and a nationally accredited academic curriculum.* An overriding emphasis on Christian values permeates all segments of the school and seamlessly integrates with the clinical treatment modalities. Although never forced, our lively spiritual atmosphere, traditional Christian discipleship curriculum, interactive worship, along with church involvement encourages students to explore the benefits of a life-changing relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
